Are we coming into this space weighed down by the heavy burdens, struggles, and heaviness of life? In Psalm 139, King David writes out of a place of raw emotion and personal frustration, yet he intentionally anchors his soul by remembering exactly who God is. When David notes that God "compassest" our path, the original Hebrew context points directly to a threshing floor—a place of winnowing and crushing designed to separate the valuable seed from the fleshly shell. Once we accept the Lord, we live on this threshing floor of sanctification, dying to ourselves daily. If it feels like life is completely crushing us right now, do not lose heart. God does not abandon us in the sifting; He is constantly circling us, making intercession on our behalf when we don't even have the words to pray. This winnowing is painful, but it is not for our destruction—it is designed to purge fleshly weights and bring forth pure seed. Lean into this message to discover how God inhabits our journey and uses the crushing of today to produce the beautiful new wine of tomorrow.
